To celebrate, the historic brand has unveiled a new advertising campaign across Swiss and German media featuring actor Jason Isaacs.
The lighthearted campaign, titled 'Unwrap Your Smile,' brings together humour and heritage. In the main television spot, Isaacs and actress Nanette Drazic play travellers whose holiday gets off to a rocky start after a luggage mix-up in Zurich. A shared bar of Cailler milk chocolate turns their frustration into laughter—an ode to the small moments of joy that the brand has been associated with for generations.
The film, shot at Zurich Central Station and the Villa Honegg in the Bürgenstock, will air across German- and French-speaking Switzerland in October, supported by digital and print versions. Isaacs, best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, described the campaign as “a simple reminder to find sweetness in everyday life.”

Founded in 1819, Cailler holds the distinction of being Switzerland’s oldest continuously operating chocolate brand. Its factory in Broc, in the Gruyère region, has been producing chocolate since 1898 using milk from nearby IP-SUISSE-certified farms and cocoa sourced through the Rainforest Alliance via the Nestlé Cocoa Plan.
A spokesperson for Nestlé told Cocoaradar.com: "This is an example of how we are investing in our 'local jewels', as presented during our Capital Market Day back in November 2024.
"This campaign not only highlights the timeless appeal of Cailler but also underscores Nestlé’s strong commitment to innovation and consumer-centric communication. By investing in our iconic brands, including the local ones, we aim to captivate a broad audience and reinforce our position in the market."
Since 2010, the Maison Cailler visitor centre has drawn chocolate lovers from around the world, offering a glimpse into the country’s confectionery heritage.
The new brand identity, developed by FutureBrands (Paris) with creative agency Scholz & Friends (Zurich), reflects Cailler’s ongoing effort to balance its 19th-century roots with a contemporary visual style—linking its artisanal past to Nestlé’s modern global reach.
