Cloud Dancer: How Pantone’s 2026 Colour Signals a Softer Future for Confectionery

In an era defined by visual overload — neon branding, hyper-saturated social feeds, and ever-bolder product launches — the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2026 arrives as a quiet provocation, perfect for chocolatiers and pastry chefs looking for clean label kudos

The Pantone Color Institute has named PANTONE 11-4201 ‘Cloud Dancer’ its defining shade: a soft, airy off-white intended to evoke calm, clarity, and reflective pause. In a statement on its website, Pantone says it “signifies our desire for a fresh start” and that by “peeling away layers of outmoded thinking, we open the door to new approaches.”
