World Cocoa Foundation PM Ends With A Call for Results, Resilience and Real Transformation

The final day of the World Cocoa Foundation Partnership Meeting in Amsterdam closed with a clear and uncompromising message: the era of dialogue must give way to delivery with a West African country lined up for next year's event

In his final address, Chris Vincent, President of the World Cocoa Foundation, issued a challenge to the sector:

“Let us all resolve that when we get together in 12 months’ time, we are talking about results that have been delivered as a result of collective action and how we can do better – not simply agreeing again that we need to collaborate and the challenges are urgent. Words are great. The only thing that matters for the future of cocoa is results.”

His message set the tone for the wrap: urgency, accountability, and measurable progress must define the year ahead. Breaking with conference policy, Vincent declined to name the location for next year’s Partnership Meeting, but a source informed CocoaRadar that it could take place in West Africa, possibly Cameroon or Nigeria. An official announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
