Prassack’s appointment comes when the current geopolitical and economic environment poses significant challenges for global non-profit, multistakeholder organisation.

One of her main tasks will be navigating these complexities by securing alternative funding, advocating for supportive policies, and ensuring Fairtrade products remain accessible and competitive in the global market.

As initially reported by cocoaradar.com, the US Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) recently announced the termination of approximately $500 million in grant funding aimed at combating overseas human rights abuses, including child labour.
