Women of Cacao Summit 2025: A Global Celebration of Chocolate, Culture, and Women’s Empowerment

From September 18–21, the Women of Cacao Summit 2025 will bring together a diverse global community - virtually and free of charge -f or four days dedicated to the cultural, scientific, and spiritual dimensions of cacao

More than just a food, cacao has been revered for thousands of years as both nourishment and medicine, serving as a bridge between ancient traditions and modern innovation. This year’s unique summit highlights that dual legacy while showcasing how women across the globe are shaping cacao’s future.

A Blend of Tradition and Innovation

The programme offers an unusually rich mix: hands-on tastings guided by expert sensory analysts, traditional storytelling led by Mayan and BriBri wisdom keepers India Mayorga and Ixquik Lopez, and keynote talks from leading authors such as Maricel Presilla (The New Taste of Chocolate) and Marcus Patchett (The Secret Life of Chocolate).

Participants can also explore practical business and sustainability topics, from 'Level Up Your Sales in 5-Minute Bursts' with educator Estelle Tracy to 'From Seed to Soil' with Sarah Bharath, which digs into agroecology and soil stewardship.

Panels will also examine soil health, cacao genetics, ethical sourcing, and feature farmer voices in 'The Under-Spoken Voices of Cacao,' an international discussion spotlighting the human stories behind cocoa supply chains.

Global Networking

For industry insiders, wellness entrepreneurs, and chocolate enthusiasts alike, the summit offers three key takeaways:

“Cacao is more than a substance -it’s a teacher, a connector, and a mirror for how we care for each other and the Earth,” says Ava J Holmes, summit founder and cacao educator. “This gathering is about honoring the full story of cacao and chocolate while creating space for new ideas, collaborations, and friendships.”
